Emergency Locator
Your latitude and longitude, ready to copy.
Find and copy your coordinates
- Open Emergency Locator and allow location access when asked.
- Read your latitude and longitude. Check the estimated accuracy and how recently the reading was updated.
- Tap Copy coordinates, then paste into a message or maps app.
The copied format is latitude, longitude in WGS 84 decimal degrees. Negative latitude means south; negative longitude means west. Direction letters are also shown for reading aloud.
If your location is unavailable
Check Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services. Enable location for Emergency Locator and turn on Precise Location for a closer reading. Screen Time or device restrictions can also block access.
A clear view of the sky may help. The app does not require internet, but a location fix depends on your iPhone and surroundings. A reading can be inaccurate or unavailable indoors or underground. Older readings are labeled after 15 seconds and require confirmation before copying.
If you need help, contact emergency services. This app does not call for help or send your location automatically. It cannot guarantee an accurate or available location.
Privacy policy
Emergency Locator is published by Bobby Hancock.
Location stays on your iPhone
The app uses Apple Location Services while it is active to display your coordinates and estimated accuracy. Location is held in memory; the app does not save a location history or send your location to the developer.
No tracking or accounts
The iPhone app has no ads, analytics, tracking, accounts, third-party SDKs, or developer-operated servers. No data is collected by the developer through the app.
Copying coordinates
Tapping Copy coordinates places latitude and longitude on this iPhone’s clipboard. Universal Clipboard sharing is disabled for this copy. You decide where to paste it. The receiving app’s privacy practices apply when you paste or share the coordinates.
Your choices
You may turn off location access at any time in iPhone Settings. Without location access, the app cannot provide new coordinates.
